د بعد شهور قضاها في العاصمة الفرنسية كان يقدم خلالها فقرات للأطفال حيث كان يقص عليهم قصصا وروايات وهذا العمل كان مورد رزقه في بداية هجرته إلى أروبا منذ السبعينات ، ويبدو أن التجربة تركت في نفسه أثرا كبيرا وعودته الأخيرة إلى عالم الحكايا للأطفال جعته يعيد النظر في العديد من الأمور، أهمها ترك تاريخ و بصمة لعالم الطفل . وفي هذا الإطار قال شريف أن عملا للأطفال سيصدر له قريبا من خلال شركة فرنسية و هو عبارة عن قصص للأطفال باللغة الفرنسية تصاحبها رسومات و أغاني .
ومن أهم ما قاله شريف علوى أيضا ، انه منذ فترة يعمل على إبراز فن وتراث مسقط رأسه جربة الجزيرة الساحرة و التي تحتوي على مخزون تراثي مادي و لا مادي كبير و قد انطلق في ذلك منذ إصداره لسي دي جربي و نص و الذي يحتوي على أغاني جربية ويتواصل مشروعه للترويج لجزيرة
