في غمرة الزحام وفي تلك الحركية المجنونة، شعرت بنقرة على كتفي، التفت فإذا بطفل صغير يناهز السابعة من العمر جميل المنظر ضعيف البنية، ومعه طفل آخر يشبهه قد يكون توأمه أو أصغر منه، اقترب قليلا قائلا: “مادام تشري من عندي هذي؟” لم أفهم شيئا لأن تفكيري فيما أنا فيه، إذ كنت أشعر أنني أتيت شيئا عظيما فقد جلست حيث لا تجلس النسوة، جلست في ساحة الفنون، في بطحاء المدينة، بجانب الجامع الكبير، أمام “الميضة” قبالة المقهى والمحلات، ومقهى الأندلس المهجورة التي كانت شاهدة على أعراس أبناء المدينة ولياليها الملاح، أماكن تتجنبها المرأة، أماكن محظورة، وحتى إن مرت إحداهن من هناك فترتدي “السفساري” تلك القطعة الحريرية الفخمة، تلتحف بها كلما خرجت، أما اللاتي لم يتعودن على ارتدائها فيطأطئن رؤوسهن ليس خجلا بل احتراما للعادات. اليوم توقف الزمن وألغى كل شيء، فقط لمدة أربعة أيام وبعدها ستعود المدينة إلى حالها وستحجم أغلب النسوة، إلا الغريبات منهن، عن عبور السوق أو الجلوس في مقاهي المدينة أو البطحاء.
تذكرت الطفل الذي ربّت على كتفي ظانا أنني زائرة غريبة عن المدينة، إذ لم يدرك أنني إحدى بناتها. التفتُّ إلى الصبي وما زلت على ما أنا عليه لم أفهم شيئا قائلة “ما هذه؟” فلمحت في يده قطعة صوفية مصنوعة بتلك الإبرة التي تشبه في شكلها صنارة الصياد، كانت الأمهات والفتيات تصنعن أغطية وملابس وتزين بهنّ منازلهن، ومنهن من يمتهن هذه الصنعة، صنعة “كروشي“.
ما إن رأيت القطعة، لم أخف استغرابي، بل استهزائي بالعرض، ودون تردد سألته “هل سرقتها؟” فردّ بدون تفكير ولا تدبير “لا لا اسألي أمي …” فقلت له “من تكون أمك؟” أجابني دافعا عنه التهمة “أنا ولد السيدة ….” ثم طلب النجدة من رفيقه الذي عقب “والله ولد السيدة ……ولم يسرقها” فقلت له:
– لماذا تبيعها؟
– حاجتي بالفلوس.
– ما هو ثمنها؟
– خمس مائة مليم.
استظرفت الولد، وضحكت ضحكات اختلطت معها مشاعر الشفقة والإعجاب، فعقّبتُ على كلامه مازحة “خمس مائة مليم؟ إنه مبلغ كبير؟” ابتسم الصبي ابتسامة بريئة، وصل إلى قلبي صدقها، وظل صامتا للحظات وجيزة، فكرت فيها طويلا، لماذا يبيع هذه الخرقة؟ هل أمه تعلم؟ هل هي من حاك القطعة؟ هل وجدها ملقاة في أحد أزقة المدينة الهرمة؟ هل سرقها؟ هل هو جائع وسيشتري بثمنها ما يسدّ رمقه؟ هل ستتحسن ظروفهم المادية إذا باع تلك الخرقة؟ ما أهمية الإجابة عن هذه الأسئلة؟
دون تردّد قلت “سأشتري هذه القطعة”، برقت عيناه الجميلتان فرحا معلنة أنها حققت نصرا عظيما. ها قد أفلح البائع في إقناع الشاري، وسيظفر “بمال وفير” بُعيد مفاوضات مضنية من أجل خمس مائة مليم. شحّت حافظة نقودي، لم أجد فيها ذلك المبلغ، فقط ثلاث مائة مليم في إحدى الزوايا، التقطتها بأصابعي، وعبّرت عن أسفي فقلت معتذرة “لم أجد سوى هذه القطع” ما كدت أنهي كلامي حتى سمعته يقول ” يكفي يكفي” وأخذ النقود ثم انطلق لا أدري أين، دون أن يسمع كلماتي “عد بعد حين سأعطيك نقودا أخرى”. لكنه غاب في الزحام وبقيت صورته في خيالي، ومنها صورة مهرجان الرمان، ذلك العرس الاقتصادي في بلدتي الذي حرك في الأهالي رغبة البيع والعرض والشراء، جعل من أهالي المدينة وما جاورها نساء ورجالا وأطفالا يدخلون عالم التجارة والأعمال، راجية أن يكون ولد السيدة …… منه.
