في خطوة تاريخية على درب تجويد النظام التربوي في تونس أعلن وزير التربية حاتم بن سالم عن قرار إدراج التربية على وسائل الاعلام في البرامج البيداغوجية للمرحلة الابتدائية ابتداء من العام القادم وذلك مباشرة بعد توقيع اتفاقية شراكة وتعاون بين وزارة التربية والجمعية التونسية للتربية على وسائل الإعلام ممثلة في شخص رئيسها المؤسس الدكتور ناجح الميساوي.
وجاء توقيع الاتفاقية خلال فعاليات اليوم الدراسي الذي انتظم يوم الجمعة 22 نوفمبر 2019 بالمركز الوطني للغات بالبحيرة تحت عنوان التلميذ وشبكات التواصل الاجتماعي، فيما كان قرار الوزارة منصهرا تماما في مشروع الجمعية الذي نادت به منذ تاسيسها في سنة 2013 ومنسجما مع رؤيتها الاستراتيجية في نطاق اختصاصها .
وتمثل الاتفاقية نقطة تحول في عمل الجمعية خاصة وأنها الأولى المختصة في هذا المجال التربوي الإعلامي وتعمل ضمن برامجها على ترسيخ التربية على وسائل الاعلام في الحقلين التربوي والتعليمي.
وستعمل الجمعية بموجب الاتفاقية الإطارية وبالتعاون مع الوزارة على بعث نوادي التربية على وسائل الاعلام في المؤسسات التربوية وتشجيع التلاميذ على الإبداع والإنتاج الصحفي وتنظيم مهرجان الابداع الاعلامي التلمذي فضلا عن تكوين الإطار التربوي في تقنيات
الإعلام والاتصال واعداد دليل التربية على وسائل الاعلام غيرها من النقاط الهامة.
وتعتبر تونس من الدول العربية القلائل التي ستعتمد في مناهجها التربوي مادة التربية على وسائل الاعلام على غرار المغرب ولبنان
