تشهد العلاقات الثنائية بين تونس والمملكة العربية السعودية تطورا مطرد في جميع القطاعات وخاصة المجال الثقافي الذي تدعم اكثر باحتفالية تونس عاصمة للثقافة الاسلامية 2019 .
ويعكس هذا التطور عمق علاقات التعاون السعودية التونسية في المجال الثقافي والتي تجسدت ملامحها على ارض الواقع خاصة خلال السنوات الاخيرة في ظل الرعاية الكريمة لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز والرئيس للتونسي الباجي قائد ال
سبسي من خلال مجموعة من الاتفاقيات والمشاريع التي بدا تنفيذ البعض منها ولايزال البعض الاخر في طور التنفيذ.
وتعزز التعاون بين البلدين من خلال تبادل الخبرات والتجارب بين مختصين في المجال الثقافي من المملكة وتونس من خلال المشاركة في اجتماعات مشتركة بين البلدين من خلالها التوقيع على اتفاقيات تعاون للسنوات المقبلة في المجالين الفني والثقافي والعمل على تفعيله بطرق ومسائل تتماشى وطبيعة البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين من بينها منحة من طرف الصندوق السعودي للتنمية لترميم مسجد عقبة بن نافع والمدينة العتيقة.
كما يسعى البلدين الى تطوير التبادل الثقافي بين البلدين وتنويع مجالاته وفقا لإرادة قائدي البلدين من اجل تجسيد مزيد التقارب بين تونس والمملكة العربية السعودية، وتطوير عدد من الاقتراحات العملية لتعزيز التعاون الثنائي من بينها تنظيم معارض فنية ولقاءات ادبية تكون مناسبة لتلاقح الافكار وتبادلها بين مبدعي البلدين الشقيقين ، اضافة الى مزيد دعم التبادل في مجال الكتب والمنشورات وعلى اصدار اعمال ادبية مشتركة بين ادباء ومفكرى البلدين.
ولئن انعكس التطور المتسارع والتغييرات الجذرية التي شهدتها المملكة خلال السنوات الاخيرة ايجابيا على علاقات المملكة بالدول العربية والإسلامية ودول العالم ، فان تونس سعت من جانبها الى دعم علاقتها مع المملكة أكثر من خلال زيارات متتالية لوفود من خبراء سعوديين إلى تونس بهدف تبادل الخبرات والتجارب في جميع المجالات وخاصة منها المجال
الثقافي.
وفي ذات الجانب كان
وزير الثقافة التونسي محمد زين العابدين قد وصف ، في تصريح سابق له،علاقات التعاون السعودية التونسية بأنها تجسدت ملامحها على أرض الواقع خلال السنوات الثلاث الأخيرة في ظل الرعاية الكريمة لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود -رعاه الله – وأخيه فخامة الرئيس الباجي قايد السبسي رئيس الجمهورية التونسية، وذلك من خلال مجموعة من الاتفاقيات والمشاريع التي بدأ تنفيذ البعض منها
وما يزال البعض الآخر في طور التنفيذ، منوهًا بما شهدته المملكة خلال عهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين -حفظه الله – من تطور واكب النمو التقني المتسارع على جميع المستويات في العالم، مؤكداً أن التطور المتسارع والتغييرات الجذرية التي شهدتها المملكة انعكست على علاقاتها بالدول العربية والإسلامية ودول العالم ومنها تونس التي تعززت علاقتها مع المملكة لا سيما في مجال تبادل الخبرات والتجارب في جميع المجالات وخاصة الثقافي.

وشدد الزائرون على أن العناية الفائقة التي يوليها القائمون على خدمة بيت الله الحرام والمشاعر المقدسة للكعبة المشرفة والأموال الطائلة التي تنفق في هذا المجال أكبر دليل على كرم أهل المملكة وحرصهم على القيام بالأمانة التي أوكلت إليهم على أحسن وجه.
وتحرص كل الجهات المشاركة في المعرض على تقديم صورة مشرقة عن الجهود الكبيرة للجهات التعليمية والثقافية والأدبية وما وصل إليه التطور الثقافي والفكري في المملكة، يصاحبها في ذلك صور الحرمين الشريفين التي تغطي المحيط الخارجي للجناح، مستعرضة جهود القيادة الرشيدة ـ أيدها الله ـ في بناء وتوسعة بيت الله الحرام في مكة المكرمة ومسجد نبيه المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم في المدينة المنورة.
وتوج جناح المملكة مشاركته في عدة سنوات بزيارة فخامة الرئيس الباجي قائد السبسي رئيس الجمهورية التونسية للجناح، وإهدائه نسخة من المصحف الشريف.
وتشارك رابطة رواد الحركة الكشفية في المملكة بالفعاليات المتنوعة التي تنظمها تونس ومنها الندوة الكبرى التي أقيمت في عام 1436هـ ضمن فعاليات لقاء الصداقة الثالث لرواد الحركة الكشفية، حيث قدم الدكتور راشد الغامدي من وفد المملكة ورقة عن رابطة الرواد بالمملكة تحدث فيها عن الرابطة منذ التأسيس لها عام 1419هـ، حيث تم إشهارها عام 1420هـ.
وفي عام 1436هـ أيضًا حقق نادي المسرح بجامعة الملك عبدالعزيز جائزة أفضل ممثل واعد في المهرجان المسرحي الجامعي في مدينة “المنستير” التونسية عبر مشاركة الجامعة بمسرحية “تعايش”، حيث توج الطالب عبدالله يحيى الهوساوي بالجائزة عن دوره في المسرحية.
ونظم مركز الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز العالمي للحوار بين أتباع الأديان والثقافات بالتعاون مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي في 28 جمادى الأولى 1438هـ في جزيرة جربة التونسية أعمال الدورة التدريبية بعنوان “وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي كمساحة للحوار” بمشاركة أربعين متدربًا من الناشطين في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وناشطين في مؤسسات من دول اتحاد المغرب العربي، بهدف تعزيز قدرات المشاركين في مجال دفع ودعم الحوار باستخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لنشر ثقافة الحوار وترسيخ قيم التسامح.
وفي عام 1439 هـ ألقى معالي المستشار في الديوان الملكي إمام وخطيب المسجد الحرام الشيخ الدكتور صالح بن عبدالله بن حميد، محاضرة بجامعة الزيتونة في تونس العاصمة تحت عنوان “التعايش وأهميته في وحدة الأمة”، أكد خلالها أن الحديث عن التعايش ليس وليد اليوم، وإنما ممتد من عهد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، مشيرًا إلى أن حب الله لا يتأتي إلا بالتعايش، وأنه ليس للأمة سبيلًا إلا بالتعايش.
وتطرق فضيلته لأسباب التعايش، مشيرًا إلى أن الوجود المشترك بين الناس على اختلاف طبائعهم ومقاصدهم هو لا يعني الإلغاء إنما يعني الاعتراف بالآخر، مؤكدًا أن التعايش هو تنظيم لوسائل العيش بين الناس.
وتستحوذ الرياضة على جانب مهم من جوانب العلاقات بين المملكة وتونس ذلك أن التنافس الشريف بين البلدين حضر مرارًا في مناسبات متعددة ومنها كأس العالم وبطولات أخرى.
وخلال العهد الزاهر لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ حفظه الله ـ وقعت المملكة وتونس على البرنامج التنفيذي المشترك في مجالي الشباب والرياضة بين البلدين لعامي 2016 – 2017م، ويشمل البرنامج تبادل الزيارات وتنظيم أسبوع الإخاء السعودي التونسي وبرامج رياضية مشتركة وزيارات المنتخبات لإقامة المعسكرات والمشاركة في الدورات الودية والرسمية، إضافة إلى الدورات التدريبية في مجال إعداد القادة والمدربين وتنفيذ برامج مشتركة في الطب الرياضي وتبادل الخبرات والاستشارات الفنية والهندسية في مجال المنشآت الرياضية.
وفي ربيع الأول من عام 1439 هـ قلد رئيس الاتحاد العربي للرياضة العسكرية رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لألعاب القوى العميد هادي بن بكر القحطاني وزير الدفاع التونسي وسام الاتحاد العربي من الدرجة الأولى، وذلك خلال اللقاء الذي عقد في مقر الوزارة بتونس العاصمة على هامش منافسات البطولة العربية العسكرية السادسة للتايكوندو التي استضافتها تونس بمشاركة (9) دول عربية.
وحققت المنتخبات السعودية على أرض تونس الخضراء العديد من المنجزات وكذلك حققت منتخبات تونس، ومن ذلك مثلا لا حصرًا ما شهده شهر شوال 1436 هـ حيث توج المنتخب السعودي للتنس تحت 13 سنة في فئة الفردي بكأس البطولة العربية، بعد فوز لاعب المنتخب سعود الحقباني على اللاعب المغربي عدنان يونس بشوطين مقابل شوط واحد.
