دعت السعداوي النساء العرب الى التخلص من التبعية للرجل التي توارثتها عبر اجيال .. دعت الى المساواة .. دفاعها عن المراة سلبها ابسط حقوقها .. سلبها حريتها ومهنتها فقد سجنت ومنعت من ممارسة الطب وادرج اسمها في قائمة الاغتيالات مما دفعها الى البحث عن حريتها خارج بلادها .. احتفى بها الغرب ورشحها لجائزة نوبل في وقت منع العرب تداول كتبها لجراتها .
